At the time, the owner saw a growing need for protective tactical eyewear for the Armed Forces, aircraft pilots, and police officers. Later, Rochester Optical became one of the country's few military prescription glasses frame manufacturers and supplied the Army and the Air Force with combat-ready ballistic eyewear for soldiers. After WWII, the tactical eyewear company expanded its services to include creating and selling prescription eyeglasses for the public. Position Summary

Allegiant Eyewear/ a division of Rochester Optical is seeking a detail-oriented Graphic Production Specialist to support print-focused marketing and production initiatives, with additional digital production responsibilities. This role is critical in ensuring all printed and digital materials meet brand standards, production requirements, and quality expectations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with print production, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Essential Job Functions:

Ensure color accuracy and print quality across a variety of materials, formats, and sizes

Set up, configure, and operate printers for multiple substrates and production needs

Troubleshoot printing issues and perform routine printer maintenance

Collaborate with design teams to ensure artwork files meet production specifications and printed materials meet design expectations

Conduct quality control checks throughout the printing and production process

Manage print production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines

Process customer print orders on a daily basis

Safely handle materials, inks, and printing supplies

Monitor and restock printing supplies including paper, inks, labels, and related materials

Adapt and prepare print assets for limited digital use when required

Maintain organized file structures and production documentation

Perform duties independently with minimal supervision while maintaining consistent quality and efficiency

Skills and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of print production workflows and best practices

Proficiency in color management and print quality control

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Effective communication and collaboration skills

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Ability to work independently in a production-driven environment

Education and Experience:

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in graphic production, print production, or a related role

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or equivalent professional experience

Hands-on experience operating production printers and preparing files for print

Two (2) plus years of experience operating large-format inkjet printers

Proficiency in CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite

Familiarity with printing-related software and production workflows

Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines

Experience working in a high-volume or customer-driven print environment

Experience a plus:

Experience with Mimaki printers and workflows a plus

Experience with RIP software; Raster link 7 experience a plus

Familiarity with digital asset management a plus

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods while operating printing and production equipment

Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and supplies up to 25 pounds

Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday

Manual dexterity required to operate printers, tools, and production equipment

Ability to visually inspect printed materials for color accuracy, defects, and quality standards

Ability to work in a production environment with exposure to printing equipment, inks, and materials while following all safety guidelines

Ability to work occasional extended hours as needed to meet production deadlines

Work Environment

Fast-paced, production-focused setting; Independent role with collaboration across design and marketing teams

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
