For escalators and moving walks Draka EHC offers essential handrail solutions, field splicing services, skirt brushes, rollers, replacement parts and more.
Role Summary
The Product Specialist is responsible for monitoring the performance of the assigned product lines, taking action to achieve sales, maximize operating profit and managing finished goods inventory.
Nature & Scope
Reporting to the Product Manager, the Product Specialist manages assigned product groups. This role monitors order intake, backlog changes and order outflows to ensure successful execution to the volume and financial commitments of their respective product groups.
The product specialist acts as a first line of escalation for our sales team on customer orders that have shifted beyond committed dates and works closely with our supply chain team on prioritization of products within their responsibility.
Responsibilities:
-Coordinates quotation activity for the applicable product categories
-Perform customer/product pricing analysis to maximizing profitability
-Implement pricing strategies consistent with business strategies
-Create and maintain pricing database and reports to maintain a competitive position
-Process quote requests in collaboration with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain
-Analyze supply agreements and costs to provide recommendations for pricing strategy
-Analyze and update quotation terms and conditions as needed
-Work with sales and supply chain to manage surplus and slow-moving inventory
-Coordinate the product details within Prysmian's ERP systems
-Manage customer complaints and create reports to analyzing trends and improvement projects
-Create reports to monitor KPI's at both the product and customer level
-Research Business Development opportunities on both product and market level, provide analysis and prepare presentations per requests
-Support monthly forecast for product group forecast of metric tons, revenue, and margin
-Represent team in meetings in absence of the Product Manager
-Partner the Business Unit Financial Analyst on projects as assigned
-Support the monthly and quarterly hedge process
-Manage the quarterly price sheet updates to customers and in Prysmian's ERP system
-Identify best practices and establish, document, and monitor policies and procedures

-Analytical mindset with ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions.

Qualifications
· BS degree in business, finance, supply chain, or related discipline - required.
