SAIC is seeking a Radio Technician to support the Army Network Design Facility (ANDF) at Systems, Simulation, Software Integration (S31) Directorate located in Huntsville, AL. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining Link 16 tactical radios and providing technical troubleshooting support to users and field engineers who are diagnosing, repairing, and debugging the systems. The candidate shall play a primary role in coordinating and providing for logistical integrity between users, customers, and vendors to assure successful and smooth transition during system enhancements.

SAIC is seeking a Radio Technician to support the Army Network Design Facility (ANDF) at Systems, Simulation, Software Integration (S31) Directorate located in Huntsville, AL. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining Link 16 tactical radios and providing technical troubleshooting support to users and field engineers who are diagnosing, repairing, and debugging the systems. The candidate shall play a primary role in coordinating and providing for logistical integrity between users, customers, and vendors to assure successful and smooth transition during system enhancements.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform radio hardware repairs
- Use troubleshooting checklists to help soldiers in the field who call in for assistance with radio problems they experience
- Write and update troubleshooting checklists for radios
- Ability to accurately manage equipment and spare parts inventories
- Understand requirements to ship parts or full radios to Army customers
- Efficiently perform assigned processes to meet required daily logistics activities
Required Education
- Bachelors degree and zero (0) years of experience; Additional six (6) years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.
- Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges
- Strong logic and troubleshooting skills applicable to both hardware and software issues
- Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time constrained environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills including the ability to electrically organize data and present technical information to a variety of audiences
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Working knowledge of Army logistics processes
- Experience with Link 16 radios
