Senior Manager, Product Management – BOT Protection

Capital One is looking for a senior manager with deep product management expertise to lead the Bot Protection product line. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and operating resilient, risk‑based solutions that protect Capital One’s applications and data from bot attacks, while maintaining business agility, user productivity, and operational simplicity.

The Product Management team is entrepreneurial, bold, and passionate about building secure, scalable infrastructure that fuels innovation for associates, partners, and customers. The team operates in an agile, secure environment and is responsible for foundational, cloud‑based infrastructure that supports the hyper‑connected digital business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver game‑changing solutions to secure Capital One’s business applications and data from bot attacks.
  • Use a risk‑based approach and data‑driven strategy to balance security, agility, and simplicity.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment.
  • Own the product roadmap, requirements, and go‑to‑market strategy for bot protection solutions.
  • Measure success through metrics, iterate based on feedback, and continuously improve product performance.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Cybersecurity.
  • Current or expected completion of a quantitative degree (Bachelors or Masters) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration by the scheduled start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer‑facing digital products.
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud‑based or on‑prem network security products (WAF, Botnet Protection, DDoS Mitigation, IPS/IDS, NGFW, DNS Security).
  • Professional certifications in Cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP).
  • Experience solutioning, deploying, and managing network security infrastructure within enterprises.

Salary

  • Chicago, IL: $175,500 – $200,300
  • McLean, VA: $193,000 – $220,300
  • New York, NY: $210,500 – $240,300
  • Plano, TX: $175,500 – $200,300
  • Richmond, VA: $175,500 – $200,300
  • San Francisco, CA: $210,500 – $240,300

Capital One does not sponsor employment authorization for this position. The role is eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, benefits, and a competitive pay range. The position is open for a minimum of 5 business days.
