Job Description: Executive Director - Senior Living

Location: Ventura County, California

Job Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Executive Director to lead a premier senior living community in Ventura County. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a proven track record of driving census growth, maintaining high occupancy rates, and fostering an environment of exceptional resident care. As the Executive Director, you will oversee all community operations, balancing strategic business development with a deep commitment to the well‑being of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Census Growth & Marketing: Spearhead local marketing initiatives, build referral networks, and drive community outreach to increase occupancy and maintain consistent census growth.
  • Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day operations across all community departments, ensuring state regulatory compliance and an unwavering standard of care.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the community budget, effectively manage expenses, and meet financial performance goals without compromising the resident experience.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, cultivating a positive, supportive, and retention‑focused workplace culture.
  • Resident & Family Relations: Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families, ensuring high satisfaction and a vibrant community atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Active RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) Administrator certification in the state of California.
  • Proven experience as an Executive Director or in a senior leadership role within an Assisted Living or Senior Living environment.
  • Demonstrated success and a strong portfolio of driving census growth and sustaining high occupancy levels.
  • Strong financial acumen with hands‑on experience managing operational budgets.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
