Summary

THIS ROLE CAN BE BASED IN ST. PETERSBURG, FL OR LOCAL IN ONE OF OUR MANUFACTURING SITES. Responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and operational excellence of battery cell manufacturing service offerings. Brings deep expertise in cell production technologies, global manufacturing scale-up, automation, quality systems, and end-to-end customer engagement. Accountable for shaping long‑term strategy, developing high‑performing teams, and ensuring world‑class delivery for global customers.

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Define and lead the strategy for battery cell manufacturing services, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Drive business expansion through new customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and differentiated service offerings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to build a robust pipeline and deliver business growth.
  • Represent the business at executive‑level customer, industry, and partner engagements.

Customer Ownership & P&L Accountability

  • Full global P&L accountability across multiple battery manufacturing customers and sites.
  • Lead pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, and long-term manufacturing services agreements.
  • Develop executive‑level relationships with customer leadership to uncover growth opportunities and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Ensure world‑class execution of SLAs, operational metrics, and customer satisfaction.

Operational & Technical Excellence

  • Provide executive leadership across electrode processing, cell assembly, formation, testing, and quality systems.
  • Champion operational excellence, yield improvement, and cost optimization initiatives across global sites.
  • Ensure readiness and scalability of manufacturing capabilities to support new technology transfers and NPIs.
  • Guide cross‑functional teams in addressing systemic issues, major escalations, and complex technical challenges.

Organization & Talent Leadership

  • Build and lead a global, high-performing organization including program management, engineering, customer management, and operations interfaces.
  • Develop future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Create a culture focused on accountability, innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead global workforce planning and operational readiness for emerging customer programs.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional executive communication and influence skills.
  • Deep expertise in battery cell manufacturing processes, high-volume production, and global factory operations.
  • Strong understanding of cost modeling, manufacturing economics, and global supply chains.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements at executive levels.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling organizations and leading multi-site global operations.
  • Strong financial and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Experience working directly with top-tier OEMs or energy storage customers.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering strongly preferred.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing, energy storage, automotive, or high-volume industrial operations.
  • Minimum 10 years in leadership roles with multi-site or global responsibility.
  • Experience leading complex business units with full P&L responsibility.

Working Conditions

  • Domestic and international travel up to 50–75%.
