Senior Director of Distribution Operations

We’re looking for a hands‑on operator who has led multiple high‑volume distribution centers and delivered real results. This role is for someone who understands the grind of operations and stays close to the work. You must know labor management, throughput, cost per unit, fill rate, safety, and shipping accuracy, and know how to improve them at scale.

What will you do?

Operational Leadership

  • Oversees the operational performance of multiple distribution and fulfillment centers.
  • Ensure strong execution tied to productivity, safety, accuracy, and cost KPIs.
  • Drive consistent operational discipline across all sites.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Build, coach, and develop strong site leadership teams.
  • Create a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement.

Execution and Improvement

  • Travel frequently throughout the East Region to work directly with on‑site teams.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements and scalable processes.
  • Apply Lean and continuous improvement methods to increase throughput and remove waste.

Technology and Data

  • Maximize use of WMS and warehouse technology platforms.
  • Use data to identify issues, drive decisions, and build action plans that produce measurable results.

What do you need?

Required Experience

  • Twelve or more years of leading multiple high‑volume distribution centers.
  • Experience managing complex, multi‑site operations with P&L accountability.
  • Strong operational knowledge in labor planning, inventory control, order fulfillment, and transportation alignment.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proven ability to deliver and sustain operational excellence at scale.
  • Expertise in WMS platforms, warehouse technology, and KPI management.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
  • Equivalent experience considered.
