Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Head of Region West Coast for our Engineering division. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our west coast operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth, forging strong relationships with clients, and leading our team towards achieving operational excellence. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, leadership prowess, and a passion for technology and engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the west coast region.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services through proposals and presentations.
  • Understand category‑specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
  • Lead the west coast team towards achieving operational excellence, providing guidance, and fostering a high‑performance culture.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, marketing, and customer service to optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct B2B cold outreach to potential clients, effectively communicating our value proposition.
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline, handling all stages of the sales process from identification to closure.
  • Regularly report on sales results and forecast to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. An MBA would be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the engineering industry.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing client‑focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in B2B cold outreach and channel management.
  • Deep understanding of the west coast market and a proven track record in defining and executing successful market strategies.
  • Technologically savvy with a deep understanding of the engineering industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to balance team support with a supervisory role.
  • Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a result‑driven environment.
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
  • Ability to prioritize among competing tasks.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills. You’re always looking to improve inefficient processes.
  • Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
