THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Supply Chain to lead procurement and supply chain operations within the power generation sector. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement processes in power plants, expertise in construction methodologies related to utility substations, and strong knowledge of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in vendor negotiation and onboarding, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective supply chain management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and oversee all procurement activities related to power generation projects, including power plants and utility substations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and project requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships, including negotiation, onboarding, and performance evaluation to ensure quality and cost‑effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to understand project needs and construction methodologies specific to utility substations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to electrical systems and power generation equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to optimize efficiency and reduce risks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing supply chain team.
THE DETAILS
- Location: Denver, CO (will also consider remote workers)
- Travel: Up to 30%
- Compensation: $227,240 to $254,495 yearly with 20% annual bonus potential

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive procurement experience in power plants and power generation environments.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies in utility substations.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and onboard new vendors effectively.
- In‑depth knowledge of electrical systems related to power generation.
- Previous leadership experience in procurement or supply chain management roles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
