This is a hybrid position located in Dallas, TX. Qualified candidates must reside in the Dallas, TX area and be willing to work in office 4 days a week and remotely 1 day a week. This position is incentive eligible.

Job Summary And Qualifications
As the Senior Director of Capital Equipment , you are responsible for leading, developing and implementing a strategic capital equipment expense management program for a multifacility integrated delivery network (IDN) . This role reviews and optimizes the current GPO contract portfolio and collaborates with the HealthTrust contracting team to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiation as applicable. You will build strategic alliances with stakeholders related to a successful capital equipment expense management program.
In this role you will work with IDN Leadership, Facility Leadership, Clinical Directors, Physicians, Chief Medical Officers, Regional Value Analysis leaders, HealthTrust National and Custom Contracting teams and SolutionsTrust.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in capital equipment expense management to contribute to the facility or IDN\'s overall strategic plan, including capital processes, construction/renovation, and clinical initiatives.
- Assess and provide leadership to guide and support the organization\'s strategy in capital equipment expense management.
- Analyze data from multiple sources, develop strategic recommendations, and execute action plans for capital equipment savings opportunities.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate a systems approach to capital equipment process and planning across the hospital or system.
- Participate in regional value analysis activities and coordinate with GPO National and Custom Contracting teams.
- Negotiate custom contracts for cardiovascular categories as applicable.
- Manage customer expectations and deliver capital equipment cost savings within timelines, while coordinating with contracting teams and ensuring stakeholder engagement.
- Build relationships with clinicians, supply chain, hospital leadership, and other stakeholders to understand needs and challenges.
- Continuously define and improve customer solutions related to capital equipment processes and planning.
- Provide educational opportunities to customers on capital equipment processes and planning.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships within HealthTrust, Supply Chain, leadership, and regional teams.
- Set and meet expense savings goals and track financial data with customers and HealthTrust teams.
- Develop standardized documents and calculations to quantify capital equipment savings.
- Lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Develop project plans for major and complex initiatives and facilitate teams toward contract implementation.
- Assign goals to direct reports and monitor progress.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical capital equipment processes and effective communication with a range of stakeholders from executives to staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s degree required; graduate degree preferred.
- 5+ years of related experience in developing and implementing a strategic capital equipment planning program.
- Experience in supply chain, value analysis, purchased services and/or sourcing with strong medical capital equipment knowledge.
- Successful project management experience.
- Advanced computer skills with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with data warehouse and/or Micro Strategies preferred.
