The Senior DirectorStudio Infrastructure leads the strategy,executionand continuous evolution ofSphereStudio’s technical ecosystem, ensuring secure,scalableand high-performance infrastructure that supports production and post-production workflows. Overseeing Studio Help Desk, DevOps, Systems Administration and Storage & Network teams, this leader drives cross-functional alignment with Corporate IT, Venue IT, and external cloud and technology partners to deliver integrated, hybrid infrastructure solutions.
Accountable for operational resilience, cybersecurity, disaster recovery and service excellence, theideal candidate has proven experiencebalancinglong-term technology planning with agile responsiveness to creative demands. Thisroleowns infrastructure budgeting, vendor strategy, processoptimizationand talent planning, ensuring the Studio’s technology foundation enables world-class content creation today and into the future.
What will you do?
- Oversee technical projects in alignment with organizational goals
- Supervise the Studio Help Desk, DevOps, System Admin, and Storage & Network teams,while working closely with management, externalvendorsand advisors
- Direct the effective delivery of secure networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes
- Collaboratewith Corp IT, Venue IT and Studio technical projects to ensure a streamlinedinfrastructure
- Collaboratewith Cloud Technical Partners to develop andmaintainhybrid studio infrastructure
- Work with production and post-production teams to develop workflow and infrastructure solutions
- Preparefinancial budgets and presenting proposals to senior executives
- Researchand recommend new products
- Forecast Studio hardware and software expansion needs andassistin long-term planning and short-term reaction to evolving creative needs
- Lead efforts to improve IT processes andmaintainstudio security
- Make staffing decisions for the ongoing support of Studio systems and artist needs
What do you need to succeed?
- 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure for a film or episodic post-production studio
- 5+ years in an IT leadership role
- Experience with designing,architectingandmaintaininginfrastructure fora highly complexfile-based media production/post-production workflow
- Experience in a Studio environment with knowledge of studio technologies such asPixstor,Powersacle,Nuke,Mistika, Scratch, Davinci,Baselight,RV, Deadline, Shotgun, Signiant, Aspera, and/or other post-production specific software or transport technologies
- Experience with adhering to TPN, PCI,MPAand other data security standards
- Strong technical leader who can successfully collaborate with/across teams to bring designs and projects to fruition
- Situational awareness of the environment for quick and decisive identification of issues andrecommendresolutions
- This role requires a “production-minded” and customer centric work ethic helping tomaintainthehigh levelof quality associated with the MSG Sphere
