Position Summary

Data Driven Product Decisions

What you'll do

Responsibilities include:

  • Requires knowledge of product and feature analytics, data analysis tools and techniques, research for analysis activities, and documentation procedures (for example data logs).
  • Extract insights and promote the value of insight extraction from complex data analytics.
  • Guide and extract relevant data to drive effective product decisions.
  • Demonstrate awareness of best practices in insight extraction from databases and techniques.
  • Independently drive product/feature analytics.

Driving Customer Client Needs

  • Requires knowledge of customer and business problems, design thinking, dependencies and impacts on product processes/ways of working, journey mapping, process optimization, and communication and influencing techniques.
  • Drive a culture to understand and address customization needs based on functional requirements.
  • Enable the creation of an ecosystem that identifies and addresses unmet customer needs.

Product Roadmap and Development

  • Requires knowledge of product roadmap development techniques, roadmap presentation, roadmap features and items, project management techniques, and modern business practices (e.g., Agile, Scrum, MVP).
  • Own roadmaps of multiple complex product lines/product families and align with overall business strategy.
  • Create strategies/processes that drive compliance and ethical norms; address external/market constraints; review and update PM processes; oversee MVP and final product rollout and scaling processes.

Product Vision and Strategy

  • Requires knowledge of problem formulation, hypothesis framing, business strategies, product discovery, and go-to-market strategies; rapid prototyping and Lean experimentation; Whole Product and Crossing the Chasm concepts.
  • Own multiple complex customer problems/needs; drive value creation using Whole Product concepts; lead product discovery; provide guidance on go-to-market strategies for mass adoption.

Influencing and Building Stakeholder Consensus

  • Requires knowledge of verbal and nonverbal behaviors, business communication styles, emotional intelligence, and influencing techniques.
  • Present to leadership; build consensus; connect strategic priorities to technical requirements; serve as trusted advisor to stakeholders; coach teams on effective communication.

Technology Orientation

  • Requires knowledge of competitive technology landscapes, existing enterprise systems, common PaaS/IaaS technologies, software QA methodologies, and emerging technology trends.
  • Lead adoption of new technologies; research markets to drive innovation; collaborate to manage technical debt; forecast trends.

In-Depth Domain Expertise

  • Requires domain-specific methodologies, tools, processes, products, and standards.
  • Develop domain strategies with executive leadership; engage externally to build Walmart's brand; advise on automation for domain-specific clients.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 15 years’ experience in product management.
  • Option 2: 17 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related area and 14 years’ experience as a product manager.
  • Experience with consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products; supervisory experience.
  • Background in inclusive digital experiences and WCAG 2.2 AA standards; accessibility best practices.
