
Senior Director, National Ancillary & Out of Network Protection Analytics & Repo

Overview
This role will lead the National Ancillary & Out of Network Protection Analytics & Reporting team. The role is pivotal in driving U.S. employer affordability strategies, delivering actionable insights to support national ancillary networks and contracting and cost containment initiatives, and partnering with the Product, Clinical, Network and Contracting teams to influence and deliver new solutions to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop two high-performing teams — National Ancillary and Out of Network Analytics and Reporting. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across analytics functions. Partner with matrixed stakeholders including Affordability, Contracting, Sales/UW, Product, Clinical and trend Analytics.
- Affordability & Contracting Analytics: Drive unit cost affordability planning and monitor medical cost trends and risks. Identify and evaluate national ancillary contracting opportunities partnering closely with the Contracting team. Lead the teams to building, refining, and deploying savings, earnings impacts and vendor contract financial models and methodologies. Redefine affordability goals and develop ongoing processes to track forecasts to actuals. Prioritize affordability needs and ensure senior leaders understand value vs cost vs abrasion tradeoff decisions. Refine and enhance affordability tracking, including operational, financial and vendor reporting and processes while standardizing the team’s approach to measuring affordability, savings and earnings.
- Reporting & Innovation: Partner closely with the Contracting, Clinical, Network and Product organizations to shape new offerings and ensure they meet stakeholder needs. Refine and enhance operational, financial and vendor performance tracking and reporting. Monitor upcoming projects to ensure adequate capacity across the broader actuarial and analytics team. Refine financial projections, earnings tracking and reserve planning. Align pricing, financial methodology and performance tracking for oversight.
- Talent Development: Motivate and challenge staff to reach their highest potential. Ensure alignment of team goals with broader organizational objectives. Lead hiring and onboarding efforts for critical roles, ensuring analytical and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Business, Data Analytics or related field preferred
- FSA/MAAA designation strongly preferred
- 10+ years of experience in actuarial, finance, pricing, or analytics roles, with demonstrated leadership in national or enterprise-level initiatives
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
- Deep understanding of medical pricing, provider contracting, and affordability strategy
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels from executive leaders to individual contributors
- Self-starter; highly motivated to grow, continuously improve, and develop subject matter expertise and cross-train the team in enhancing analytics, reporting and industry knowledge around what is impacting affordability
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and executive communication skills
- Experience with advanced analytics, modeling techniques, and data science integration
- Experience working in a matrixed organization with strong internal relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable insights
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: 176,500 - 294,100 USD per year, depending on experience and geographic location
- Eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive plan
