ROLE OVERVIEW
The (Executive / Senior) Director of Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing ChemPartner’s global marketing strategy. This individual will shape brand positioning, drive demand generation, and elevate ChemPartner’s visibility and credibility across key global markets. The role requires deep understanding of the CRO business model, drug R&D workflows, and B2B scientific marketing, combined with strong leadership and cross‑functional influence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy and Planning
- Develop and execute annual and multi‑year global marketing strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives, service portfolio priorities, and regional expansion plans.
- Define clear brand positioning, target segments, value propositions, and differentiated competitive messaging across discovery, preclinical, and development services.
- Continuously analyze market trends, client needs, competitor strategies, and regulatory dynamics, providing actionable market intelligence and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Brand Building and External Communications
- Own and elevate ChemPartner’s global brand, ensuring consistency, clarity, and professionalism across all internal and external touchpoints.
- Lead high‑impact industry presence through conferences, roadshows, thought leadership initiatives, scientific content, and media engagement.
- Position ChemPartner as a trusted, authoritative partner in core service areas by shaping narratives that resonate with scientific, commercial, and executive audiences.
Digital Marketing and Lead Generation
- Design and optimize an integrated, client‑centric digital marketing ecosystem, including website, SEO/SEM, social channels, email campaigns, webinars, and virtual events.
- Implement marketing automation and lead‑management frameworks to support scalable, data‑driven demand generation.
- Partner closely with Sales and Business Development teams to align lead qualification, nurturing, and conversion processes, improving pipeline quality and funnel efficiency.
Service Line and Solution Marketing
- Work closely with Scientific, Business Development, and operational leaders to translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling customer value propositions.
- Develop service‑line‑specific marketing strategies and sales enablement assets, including presentations, case studies, competitive positioning, and account‑support materials.
- Support strategic growth areas such as discovery chemistry, biology, DMPK, preclinical development, and ADC‑related services.
Team Leadership and Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing global marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the senior marketing partner to Sales, Business Development, Scientific Operations, and Project Management leadership, ensuring tight alignment between marketing initiatives and business priorities.
- Establish clear operating rhythms, decision frameworks, and communication channels across regions.
Budget Management and Performance Measurement
- Develop and manage the global marketing budget, ensuring disciplined resource allocation and cost effectiveness.
- Define KPIs and dashboards to measure marketing performance, ROI, brand impact, and contribution to revenue growth.
- Regularly report insights, outcomes, and optimization recommendations to executive leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field is required.
- MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
Professional Experience
- 10-12+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director level or above).
- Demonstrated success in B2B marketing within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or the CRO industry; deep familiarity with drug R&D workflows and CRO buying dynamics is essential.
- Proven track record of developing and executing global or regional marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, pipeline expansion, and brand equity.
- Strong experience in brand strategy, digital transformation, demand generation, and sales enablement in complex, technical environments.
- Experience building, leading, and scaling high‑performing marketing teams across geographies.
