As a senior leader, you’re a natural at appreciating diverse perspectives and bringing out the best in teams, while also establishing credibility & confidence with C-Suite client leaders. As a Principal Director, you demonstrate “the four Cs” to the fullest:

  • Credential: Deliver high-quality, referenceable work that advances the platform; specific sales targets based on role.

  • Capability: Identify and drive meaningful contributions for an asset or innovation for the practice; build skills in specific high-growth areas of Accenture.

  • Connections: Develop targeted senior executive relationships related to their client and engage in platform forums; multiple client, external, and practice presentations.

  • Content: Contribute to thought capital; use thought capital in sales/business development; Marketing Development & Initiatives (MD&I) time spent on developing new content & points of view.

The Work:

  • Lead delivery of projects to assess clients’ positions in the Healthcare Payer/Provider Strategy and identify business options in the context of global, economic, technology, and social trends.

  • Head up teams to deliver world-class business strategy solutions that meet the needs of clients in the Healthcare Payer/Provider Strategy.

  • Earn the trust of senior leaders at client organizations and partner with them to create strategic solutions at the intersection of business, technology, and operations.

  • Provide overall guidance on quantitative analysis and research to generate recommendations and insights and drive outcomes.

  • Build relationships with clients to sustain Accenture’s profile as a long-term trusted advisor and partner.

  • Fortify Accenture’s Strategy practice and role as a thought leader by creating content and taking part in professional forums, both internal and external.

  • Mentor junior members of the Strategy team and groom them for more responsibility.

  • Focus areas include cost transformation, performance improvement, innovative business and operating models, mergers and acquisitions, digital health, and product strategy.

  • Travel as needed, up to 80%.

Here’s What You Need:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Healthcare Payer or Provider industry

  • Minimum of 8 years of Health Strategy & Growth or Health Transformation experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience at a large strategy or health boutique consulting firm

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience publishing thought leadership, presenting at conferences, or serving as a subject matter expert.

  • Bachelor’s degree

Bonus Points if:

  • MBA Degree

  • Publications or other thought capital

  • Experience using tech, data and AI tools, including generative AI and Agentic AI tools preferred

  • Experience with digital experience and experience transformation for efficiency and growth preferred.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
