
Director of Strategic Business Initiatives & Project Management

Position Summary
The Director of Strategic Business Initiatives & Project Management serves as a key leader within the Office of Executive Vice President & Chief Business Affairs and Strategy Officer, managing and integrating complex, transformational business initiatives and projects. This exciting new role collaborates closely with senior leadership across the university to drive organizational change and assist in developing long-term strategies to achieve fiscal growth, operational efficiency, and institutional goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Support and collaborate on complex operational related initiatives of the university (e.g. adjusting organizational structures based on growth, effective prioritization across initiatives, planning, etc.)
- In conjunction with the finance and operations team, lead strategic project development initiatives across multiple stakeholders
- Track the development and implementation of department strategic plans to assure fiscal growth, solvency, and accountability
- On behalf of the EVP, build relationships with and participate on university-wide working groups and committees to support activity, and facilitate collaboration and best practices across the University
- Facilitate key meetings and driving meaningful team-wide strategic and operational initiatives forward
- Prepare analyses, recommendations, and findings to provide feedback to leadership on scalable solutions to support needs of the university
- Assist with organizational change initiatives, which includes creating policy, processes, and ensure they are shared across the university
- Manages internal and external communications on behalf of the Executive Vice President & Chief Business Affairs and Strategy Officer, in collaboration with Marketing and Communications and leadership, facilitating communication between departments
Required Education and Experience
Experience: 8 years in project coordination, administrative management, strategic planning, or related fields.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

- Demonstrated ability to work well in a multicultural dynamic environment.
- Fluid ability to build trust with others and experience working collaboratively on a board cross-functional project servicing multiple stakeholders.
- Proven track record in managing competing priorities and working effectively under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities/Competencies - Typically Needed to Perform This Job Successfully
- 5 years in academic medical center/health system setting.
