Job Summary and Qualifications

This position is responsible to the AVP – Financial Operations, and maintains relationships with the CFO–Supply Chain. It is responsible for the financial operations and performance measurement of the HealthTrust Supply Chain shared service organization. This individual supports the management of cost centers totaling approximately 500 million to support HCA’s supply chain function; additionally, this position monitors over 10 billion in annualized supply expense recorded on HCA facility ledgers.

What you will do in this role includes:

  • Supports the financial operations of HCA’s Supply Chain organization, including both Corporate functions and field-based shared services organization
  • Collaborate closely with the consolidated analytics team responsible for creating dashboards and reports to manage performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Develops strategy by assuming a support role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing operating costs through people, process, and technology enhancements
  • Provides financial insight and input to supply chain strategic initiatives
  • Guarantees accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution, and retention of all financial reports and records related to supply chain operations and hospital supply expense management
  • Completes preparation of short- and long-range budgets, strategic plans, monthly financial/operational reports, and ad hoc financial requests designed to manage performance
  • Supports the development and monitoring of supply chain labor management processes
  • Directs and supports shared financial reporting personnel activities to ensure accurate financial results
  • Completes preparation of HCA supply chain and supply expense budget directives (including savings plans)
  • Supports the development and implementation of standardized financial operations policies and procedures
  • Monitor and maintain key operational performance measures
  • Interpret and present data for decision-making needs.
  • Enhance business intelligence through enterprise tools for reporting and analytics.
  • Reviews financial justifications for operational business cases
  • Coordinates all ad-hoc financial, operational, and data mining reporting requests
  • Aids all management staff related to the performance of financial management matters
  • Support financial and compliance audit coordination.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field - Required
  • 6-8 years’ experience in financial reporting, financial operations, and/or supply chain financial management - Required
  • Experience with data mining and BI tools - Required (Essbase, Business Objects, MicroStrategy preferred)
  • CPA License Preferred
