Job Summary
As GE HealthCare scales its software and integrated solutions portfolio, clear and scalable licensing and contracting models are essential. The Director, Licensing, Contracting & Commercial Architecture plays a central role in shaping this capability.
In This Role, You Will Help Shape
- How GE HealthCare licenses and contracts software and integrated solutions at scale
- How product design, commercial intent, and legal structure come together early
- How contract standards reduce friction for customers and internal teams
This is a senior individual contributor role for builders who enjoy hands‑on design, collaboration, and influence, with limited travel (typically under 15–20%) and the opportunity to help transform how GE HealthCare scales software and integrated solutions to tackle some of healthcare’s most important challenges for customers and patients.
What Success Looks Like In The First Year
In the first year, success in this role is about simplifying complexity and enabling scale.
- New software and integrated offerings launch with clear, scalable licensing and entitlement models designed in from the start.
- Standard, reusable licensing and contract constructs are in place for priority offerings, resulting in fewer exceptions and faster deal cycles.
- Legal, Finance, and Operations teams have confidence that licensing designs align with revenue recognition, billing, and operational execution.
- Teams across Segments and Regions understand what is standard versus configurable and are able to execute with less friction and escalation.

- Proven experience designing licensing and commercial models that scale across multiple products, customer segments, or geographies.
- Strong understanding of modern licensing approaches (subscription, usage‑based, hybrid) and how they operate commercially and operationally.
- Demonstrated ability to move comfortably between detailed commercial constructs and broader product and business context, and connect the two in decision‑making.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with Product, Technology, Legal, Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams in complex, fast‑moving environments.
- Clear and persuasive communicator, able to influence senior stakeholders and align teams without formal authority.
- Strong systems thinking, with the ability to connect product design, licensing intent, revenue recognition, billing, and execution realities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, medtech, or other regulated industries, where contracts, data rights, and compliance are tightly linked to customer trust and long‑term relationships.

- Comfort working with large and complex commercial data sets, pricing and contract structures, and financial or operational analyses to inform decisions.
- Experience partnering closely with Legal teams while maintaining a strong commercial and customer‑centric perspective.
- Ability to manage multiple complex work‑streams in parallel, balancing near‑term execution needs with longer‑term architectural decisions.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving environments, with the ability to design standards where precedent is limited.
