About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented Director of Finance, FP&A, to join our Finance leadership team. This is a high-impact role for a strategic finance leader with strong business acumen and people leadership skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

In this role, you will partner closely with the business unit leadership and cross-functional teams to lead financial planning and analysis for our Specialty Chemical and Ingredients (SCI) business unit. Business partnering with Sales, Marketing, Commercial and Operations teams plays a critical role in driving our growth agenda.

This role requires someone who can lead all aspects of enterprise planning, as well as execute and take ownership of day-to-day activities. It is an exciting opportunity to oversee the development of advanced financial planning, modelling and analytics tools, and dashboards to support evidence-based decision making.

We look for a Director of Finance, FP&A, with a proven track record of success, leading significant changes through hands‑on accomplishments. Demonstrated leadership competencies should include strategic agility, relationship building, collaboration with executives, business acumen, dealing with ambiguity, planning and priority setting. Job Responsibilities

  • Direct the entire Planning cycle (Strategy, Forecast, Budget) for the SC&I business unit. You will:
    • Design, manage and analyze the annual and long-term plans.
    • Be responsible for delivering financial forecasts and analysis.
    • Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, forecasting, planning and modelling tools.
    • Establish and drive the execution of FP&A framework, standards and processes and provide financial leadership at a Corporate and operational level.
    • Support any ad‑hoc requests.
  • Manage Reporting. You will:
    • Produce accurate and timely financial reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide leadership in developing the performance measurement framework and KPIs to track and monitor performance.
    • Identify and assess the financial impact of opportunities and risks, including the development of mitigation strategies.
    • Deliver a business financial package that communicates financial results in a standard and easy-to-understand format for all Management and Senior Leadership audiences.
  • Sit on the FP&A Finance leadership team and serve in a broader corporate capacity.
  • Provide finance support for the SC&I business unit and management team for financial analysis including competitive analysis, pricing strategies, customer profitability and sales performance.
  • Manage and develop a team of three managers committed to delivering strong financial performance and establishing strong business partnerships throughout the organization.

Your Experience Should Include

  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and the ability to manage a team to deliver high-quality financial analysis, services and results in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated success as a strategic leader fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence during ongoing change.
  • Leadership experience building organizational capabilities in your team as well as throughout the broader organization.
  • Extensive knowledge in budgeting, forecasting, multi-year strategic planning, modelling and tool development. Multi-currency experience is an asset.
  • Able to build strong and collaborative working relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A team player ready to participate whenever the need arises.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and with a strong desire to make an impact.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • CPA or MBA

Location and Travel Requirements

  • Travel is approximately 10‑15% pending business needs.
  • Hybrid role: 3 days in office, subject to change based on business needs.
