Quality Assurance Director
Food Talent Solutions has partnered with a long‑standing client in the food manufacturing industry seeking a proven Quality Assurance Director to lead and strengthen their food safety and quality systems across multiple facilities. This individual will oversee three plants and serve as a key strategic leader ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Reports to: VP of Operations
Facilities Oversight: 3
Direct Reports: QA Managers & supporting QA personnel
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all QA and food safety programs across three manufacturing sites.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF, customer, and internal standards.
- Drive consistency in quality systems, documentation, and audit readiness across all facilities.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain to implement best practices and corrective actions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop QA Managers and teams to uphold company‑wide standards of excellence.
- Act as the primary liaison during external audits and major customer quality reviews.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in food manufacturing Quality Assurance.
- Strong background in regulatory compliance and third‑party audit systems (FDA, USDA, SQF, etc.).
- Multi‑site QA leadership experience preferred.
- Dairy or related food manufacturing background highly preferred.
