AVP, Portfolio Management

$75K to $100K base + quarterly bonus of $1K to $3K

We are partnering with a rapidly growing private lender based in Chicago that is hiring an AVP of Portfolio Management. This is a hybrid role with three days in office and two days remote.

This position focuses on portfolio monitoring and managing complex loan situations. You will work closely with lending, servicing, legal, and leadership teams to proactively address elevated risk assets, negotiate restructurings, and protect portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage a portfolio of service transferred and higher-risk loans
• Serve as primary point of contact for loans in foreclosure, bankruptcy, or probate
• Proactively manage delinquencies and lead borrower workout discussions
• Analyze borrower financial statements and cash flow to assess repayment ability
• Negotiate and execute loan restructurings and distressed exit strategies
• Prepare formal watchlist reporting for senior management
• Collaborate with credit, legal, and third-party service providers to maximize recovery

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in finance, banking, or commercial real estate credit
• Exposure to workouts, restructurings, or special situations preferred
• Strong financial statement analysis skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel and Word
