Role Overview
The Managing Director is responsible for full Area P&L ownership and overall performance of assigned branches. This role leads all associates and branch operations and is accountable for driving profitable growth year over year. The Managing Director brings deep experience across all key operational and customer segments, including escrow and title operations, realtor, attorney, and lender sales, and the leadership of high‑performing, multi‑location teams. This individual will leverage extensive industry experience and relationships, along with Near North Title Group’s evolving technology platform, to strengthen market position and operational excellence. Serving as the primary point of leadership for the area, the Managing Director partners closely with the corporate management team and navigates a complex organization to effectively utilize shared resources and achieve defined business objectives. This role requires a hands‑on leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves, take ownership of an existing operation, improve performance, and drive sustainable, profitable growth. The Managing Director will collaborate with peer leaders and support teams to create meaningful operational and strategic advancements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Directs and ensures staff follow corporate policies and procedures.
- Plans, organizes, administers, reviews, and evaluates the activities of professional, technical, and office support staff through subordinate managers and supervisors.
- Contributes to the overall performance of the state or area by developing strong work teams and by reviewing, recommending, and implementing improved policies and procedures.
- Develops, coordinates, and oversees execution of the state or area’s annual operating plan and long‑term strategic goals.
- Partners with Executive Management on departmental requirements, solutions, and initiatives to support business segments and growth objectives.
- Authorizes projects, sets priorities, and approves project designs and cost estimates.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of management or senior leadership experience.
- 7+ years of experience in the title insurance, lending, or real estate industries required.
- Demonstrated competency in developing and executing strategic and operational plans.
- Proven track record of leading large, complex operations with multiple stakeholders and driving organizational change.
- Demonstrated success in meeting the needs of a diverse workforce while driving accountability, performance, and results.
- Strong experience with functional tools, infrastructure, and operational systems.
- Deep understanding of metrics and dashboards that support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Progressive experience leading employees across multiple locations and implementing scalable solutions.
- Proven ability to recruit revenue‑attached professionals into an organization.
- Strong problem‑solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team‑building, and presentation skills.
- Results‑oriented with strong time management and project management capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, leading by example and empowering teams to achieve their full potential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures related to title insurance, lending, or real estate operations.
