The Director of Construction for the Iowa region is responsible for the development and implementation of capital projects (new, remodel and r&m) from concept stage through construction completion and operational turnover. The director is involved with the overall project as it relates to design management and coordination, schedule, budget, contracting, assessment & coordination of operational needs, maintaining design intent, and the day-to-day management and on-site coordination of capital projects. Also partners with the VP of Design & Construction, departmental project leaders and strategic sourcing department as related to construction ffe purchasing, property operations and other relative positions to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule. The position reports to the VP of Design and Construction and will focus on our existing and any new locations in the Iowa market. Bring Us Your Best.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 7+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects, or a combination of education and experience. Must have hands-on experience managing construction projects. Ability to perform multiple tasks and projects with understanding of overall concept of projects. Effective negotiation and decision-making skills Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with AutoCAD helpful. Review and comprehend contracts, change orders, requisitions, purchase orders, drawings, specifications, budgets, plans, and other necessary reports and documentation. Thorough knowledge of and experience in construction business management. Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for multiple concurrent projects through various phases of each. Ability to obtain gaming license(s) as may be required for work at various properties. Must have strong problem solving, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Must have excellent project and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
