Overview
The Solutions Representative is responsible for driving new and expanded revenue by selling RealPage proptech solutions that help small and mid-sized multifamily operators improve financial performance and compete more effectively in a dynamic market. This role partners with property owners, operators, and executive leaders to identify opportunities to increase net operating income (NOI) through leasing automation, data-driven decision-making, revenue optimization, expense control, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate understands how property owners and investors evaluate technology investments through the lens of ROI, asset performance, and long-term value creation. While multifamily experience is a plus, success in this role requires strong financial acumen and the ability to translate technology into measurable outcomes that help customers do more with leaner teams.
Responsibilities
Drive new business through active prospecting, discovery, qualification, and closing Generate new and add-on revenue within an assigned territory and/or named accounts Research, identify, and tenaciously generate new opportunities on a weekly basis Methodically qualify, build, and manage an accurate and actionable sales funnel Strategically penetrate a regional territory to close new business and grow existing accounts Sell RealPage solutions using a consultative, value-based approach in a fast-paced environment Translate product capabilities into measurable financial outcomes for prospects, with a clear focus on NOI improvement and ROI Partner with Sales Engineers to deliver compelling, web-based product demonstrations and presentations Follow up on implementations associated with new product and service sales to ensure client success and revenue realization Maintain a high volume of outbound activity, including calls, emails, meetings, and social selling Confidently engage VP-level and C-suite executives, navigating complex buying groups and multiple decision-makers Attend management meetings, industry events, and trade shows representing RealPage Consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas Thrive in a changing environment while remaining highly organized, coachable, and results-focused Qualifications
Four-year college degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant sales experience Minimum of 4 years of sales experience (field or inside) with a proven history of exceeding quota Demonstrated success selling software, SaaS solutions, or professional services in a consultative, value-based sales model Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand and discuss how property owners and investors think about revenue, expenses, operating efficiency, and net operating income (NOI) Ability to articulate ROI and tie solutions to measurable business and financial outcomes Multifamily, real estate, or property technology experience is a plus but not required Ability to identify, qualify, prioritize, and advance opportunities effectively Strong presentation skills and the ability to lead discussions with large or senior-level audiences Ability to assess client needs and quickly recommend the most appropriate solution Proven ability to manage and prioritize a geographic territory effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce or comparable CRM experience preferred Real estate-related certifications (e.g., IREM, NAA) are a plus Willingness to attend industry functions, meetings, and trade shows (some evenings and weekends) Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly accountable, with consistent and timely follow-up Motivated by solving client challenges and driving revenue through commission-based earnings Position requires regular field activity, including overnight and weekend travel (up to 40%)
