The Chemical Management Technician (CMT); Safety is an overriding priority at all times for this position. This person must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, solid organizational skills, and exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written with little supervision. He is responsible for supporting the chemical management services in customer plants. These services include but not limited to are; performing daily inventory of all key process areas such as Paint Shop, Gas house, Sludge pit, direct side sealers, Janitorial and maintenance paints, direct side products as some plant locations. In addition the technician distributes point of use products, places sealer orders, performs daily waterborne purge titrations and plots the results, daily flood sheet inspections, report and distribute humidification readings, leak test booth bacteria testing, empty drum rinsing, detack products, maintains chemical feed pumps, performs daily water quality testing, sludge solids tests, bacteria testing, treats (adds chemicals) the detack pits for foam and bacteria, charts detack and distributes detack SPC reports, collect and prepares empty containers for drum pad pick up, prints and distributes secondary labels, car wash bacteria testing, orders, receives and distributes bottled gases, Updates approved chemical list, submits SDSs to HMCC, attends daily, weekly and monthly meetings, distributes new products use forms with safe use instructions, attends safety observation tours, reviews daily job safety analysis, and picks up orders from various receiving docks.
