Domain Expert Director Grid of the Future

Bachelor's degree in Energy/Electrical Engineering or other related Disciplines
5+ years of experience in grid of the future (renewables, micro-grids, energy storage, distribution solutions, or two-way flow of energy and information).
Must have a combination of entrepreneurial mindset and startup experience.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities: • Expand knowledge to further learn preferences, challenges, and trends in the grid of the future domain and make recommendations for business directions within Southwire. • Create and articulate cohesive strategies for Southwire's business approach in the domain. • Sustain activity with key industry organizations and participate in industry meetings. • Cultivate and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders and external players including research institutions, startup companies, partners, and customers. • Identify and support developing new processes, products, and services in the grid of the future domain. • Understand existing efforts, manage the business's new activities, and effectively communicate across business units. • Apply entrepreneurial mindset, startup experience, and managing ambiguity to build ideas from ideation to commercialization stages.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Energy/Electrical Engineering or other related Disciplines • 5+ years of experience in grid of the future (renewables, micro-grids, energy storage, distribution solutions, or two-way flow of energy and information). • Must have a combination of entrepreneurial mindset and startup experience. • Must possess leadership skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication. • Must be able to work well in teams with product development and product management. • Must have strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing ambiguity.
