
Marketo Migration Lead

Position Overview
We are seeking a
Marketo Migration Lead
to own and drive enterprise-level Marketo platform migrations and transformations. This role requires deep expertise in marketing automation architecture, data integrity, and scalable campaign frameworks, with a strong focus on planning and executing complex migrations from legacy systems into Marketo Engage.
You will act as the technical and strategic lead for Marketo migration initiatives — partnering closely with marketing operations, CRM teams, data engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable solutions that support client business goals and long-term platform success.
Key Responsibilities Migration Strategy & Execution
Lead the planning, design, and execution of Marketo migration initiatives from one or more legacy marketing automation platforms into Marketo Engage
Define and manage migration approach, priorities, dependencies, and timelines
Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance throughout migration processes
Platform Architecture & Configuration
Architect scalable Marketo solutions that support segmentation, lead lifecycle, scoring, and personalized engagement
Configure Marketo workspaces, custom objects, program templates, and modular campaign frameworks
Establish and enforce platform governance standards including naming conventions, folder structures, and best practices
Integration & Data Flow Management
Lead integration planning and testing between Marketo, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other critical data sources
Ensure accurate lead/contact synchronization and end-to-end campaign attribution across systems
Oversee API-based data migrations and complex data mapping scenarios
Campaign Framework & Journey Enablement
Translate business requirements into reusable and scalable marketing automation frameworks
Rebuild key campaign programs, nurture paths, and engagement streams in Marketo
Provide guidance on advanced personalization strategies and dynamic content usage
Quality & Validation
Build and execute comprehensive QA plans that validate migration outputs, integrations, and reporting parity
Identify and remediate gaps between source and target platform behaviors
Provide training and enablement to stakeholder groups on new Marketo capabilities and best practices
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, marketing operations, engineering teams, and external partners
Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly and proactively
Mentor and support internal team members through migration execution and platform adoption
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or related field
12+ years of experience in digital product delivery, marketing automation, or software implementation
5+ years of experience leading Marketo migrations or enterprise-scale marketing automation initiatives
Deep expertise in Marketo platform architecture, administration, and best practices
Strong understanding of data governance, lead lifecycle management, segmentation, scoring, and analytics
Proven experience with CRM integrations, especially Marketo–Salesforce or similar systems
Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications
Marketo Certification (e.g., Marketo Certified Expert or Solutions Architect)
Experience designing scalable data and campaign architectures
Familiarity with advanced personalization strategies, dynamic content, and engagement scoring
Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem integrations
Agile delivery experience and familiarity with task management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
