
Power Gen Industrial Sales Representative

Responsibilities & Expectations
Establish and maintain relationships with customers and interface with them on a daily basis
Sell new industrial power products, including gas & diesel generators, ATS and switchgear, in a designated territory
Build personal and professional relationships with Engineers, Contractors, Dealers, Wholesale Installers, and Institutions
Prepare quotes and proposals
Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
Prepare weekly call reports and dashboards to track and forecast opportunities
Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the computer database
Meet or exceed sales goals and maintain profit margins
Plan sales work on a long-term basis by setting quotas on calls made to potential and current clients, and the potential of sales for each established account
Travel throughout the assigned territory and to trade shows
Bi-lingual a plus
Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, plus three to five years pertinent sales experience, preferably in generator product or service sales, industrial sales, or related industries - Preferred.
3-5 years experience in the power generation field can substitute for degree.
Possess good problem-solving skills while being able to effectively resolve customer complaints
Results-oriented, self-starter and excellent organizational skills.
Must have excellent communication capabilities
Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
