
Outside Sales Representative Compact Construction Equipment

The Compact Sales Specialist is responsible for representing products focused on Compact Construction Equipment; Track Loaders, Mini Excavators, and Telehandlers in a defined geographic territory with the ultimate goal of sales. In addition, this position will have a focus on renting Compact Construction Equipment as well as renting some size classes of Main Line Construction Equipment. Some target customers include general contractors, utility contractors, concrete contractors, landscape/hardscape contractors, and earthmoving contractors.
What Is Required
A friendly and outgoing demeanor, complemented by strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills, with a talent for building and maintaining long-term business relationships.
Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
Willingness to make "cold calls" in addition to nurturing and expanding existing relationships with well-established customer base
Keeping updated and thorough records of calls, leads, and sales forecasts within CRM software
Dedication to developing and managing a defined territory
Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills.
General knowledge of heavy construction equipment
Maintaining up to date product knowledge
Knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales)
Demonstrating a proactive sales approach with a strong focus on meeting deadlines
General knowledge of retail financing
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Qualifications
A minimum of three years of sales or industry experience is required
A high school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
Valid driver’s license
Bilingual helpful
