Job purpose The

Integrated Packaging Designer

is creative and detail-oriented, who can develop both the structural and visual aspects of packaging. This role combines graphic design with structural packaging design, ensuring that packaging is visually compelling, functional, manufacturable, and aligned with the brands strategy. The Integrated Packaging Designer understands packaging materials, die lines, and production processes while also delivering strong brand-driven visual design. This role collaborates with Accounts, Sales, Key Account Management and Product Development teams to deliver high-quality concepts and accurate technical artwork files.

Duties and responsibilities INTEGRATED PACKAGING DESIGNER Key Responsibilities Packaging Design & Development

Design and develop structural packaging concepts, including boxes, bags, cartons, PDQ, inserts, and protective packaging.

Develop creative and functional packaging designs aligned with brand guidelines.

Create packaging concepts for new products, collections, and redesign projects.

Design packaging graphics, labels, typography, and visual layouts that support brand identity and consumer appeal.

Produce 3D mockups and visualizations to communicate packaging concepts.

Select and recommend materials and finishing techniques such as embossing, foil stamping, and specialty coatings.

Technical Artwork & Production Files

Prepare production-ready packaging artwork files for print and manufacturing.

Create die lines, layouts, folding structures, and prototypes for packaging solutions.

Process a range of artwork types including line art, tech sheets, spec sheets, production mechanicals, graphics, die lines, and schematics.

Ensure artwork meets technical print specifications, color standards, and packaging material requirements.

Artwork Management & File Organization

Maintain and update artwork files for product changes, regulatory updates, and design revisions.

Manage multiple artwork versions and maintain accurate version control.

Ensure artwork accuracy including layout, dimensions, specifications, legal, copy, and icon requirements.

Coordinate and manage the organization and maintenance of production files, transferring accurate information to cross-functional teams.

Maintain documentation and archives of packaging artwork files.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely with accounts, sales, key account management and product development teams.

Coordinate with PD team to ensure artwork is production ready.

Review proofs and approve final artwork files prior to production.

Participate in weekly account, product development and internal cross-department meetings.

Troubleshoot and resolve production and artwork issues with creative and product development teams.

Systems, Tools & Process Management

Utilize internal and external collaboration and project management tools including

WebCenter, Box, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Market and Trend Research

Monitor market trends and industry advancements, presenting seasonal trend updates to internal teams and external clientele.

Stay up to date with packaging trends, materials, and sustainable packaging innovations.

Qualifications Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Packaging Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.

4+ years of experience in packaging design or technical artwork production.

Strong portfolio demonstrates both packaging graphics and structural design.

Proficiency in: Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat

Understanding of die lines, print production, and packaging materials.

Ability to create 3D packaging visualizations and prototypes.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Strong understanding of print processes, color management, and packaging materials.

Experience and understanding of Sustainable Design practices around form, materials and treatment applications in packaging.

Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail with strong proofreading skills a must.

Ability to work in a complex global organization satisfying the needs of diverse constituents with competing deadlines and priorities.

Demonstrated ability to develop highly productive relationships with individuals and teams that are made up of varied disciplines and cultural backgrounds resulting in effective working relationships across the company.

Self-driven, motivated, and willing to take on challenges in a very fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with 3D software such as SolidWorks, KeyShot or Esko Studio.

Knowledge of sustainable packaging practices and eco-friendly materials.

Experience working with manufacturers or packaging suppliers.

Familiarity with packaging for consumer products, retail, or e-commerce.

Working conditions This position is a remote working position.Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Hours Integrated Packaging Designer role is a salaried Full-time position requiring 40+ hours per week. Occasional evening meetings required with global locations.
