Overview

We are seeking a mid-senior level SQL Server Developer / DBA to support critical data infrastructure and application environments. This role will be responsible for both database development and administration, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of SQL Server environments.

This position supports government-related systems, requiring candidates to be U.S. Citizens.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL development, performance tuning, and database administration, and enjoys working across both operational support and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Database Development Design, develop, and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting queries Support application teams with database schema design and data modeling Develop complex queries for analytics and reporting needs Database Administration Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments Monitor database performance, uptime, and system health Implement and manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes Support database upgrades, patching, and deployment activities Performance Optimization Analyze and tune queries, indexes, and database structures Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks Optimize storage, indexing, and execution plans Security & Compliance Implement database access controls and security best practices Support compliance with data governance and security standards Monitor database activity and maintain audit controls Collaboration Work closely with application developers, data engineers, and infrastructure teams Support database changes across development, staging, and production environments Maintain documentation for database architecture and operational procedures Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract support 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Strong experience writing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions Experience with database performance tuning and indexing strategies Hands-on experience managing SQL Server backups, restores, and maintenance Experience troubleshooting production database issues Strong understanding of relational database design Preferred Qualifications Experience with SSIS, SSRS, or SSAS Exposure to Azure SQL or cloud-based database environments Experience supporting data warehousing or reporting environments Familiarity with Power BI or BI tools Experience with database CI/CD or DevOps pipelines Key Skills

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. $75,000-$180,000 USD
