The Role Square is building a best‑in‑class, high‑impact field sales organization and we are looking for an exceptional Territory Account Executive.

Responsibilities Lead your market with disciplined, in‑person execution: spend ~80% of your week in the field, engaging local businesses and making 50‑60 targeted visits each week. Run a full‑cycle, self‑sourced sales motion: generate leads, identify needs, deliver compelling demos, and close deals across Square’s full product suite. Establish yourself as the go‑to Square expert in your city by building trust‑based relationships, partnering cross‑functionally, and implementing a disciplined referral strategy. Build a high‑velocity pipeline from the ground up through outreach, events, networking, and targeted partnerships. Master your verticals and sell with precision in key sectors such as restaurants, retail, and services. Maintain operational rigor in Salesforce, track activity, manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and consistently exceed quota.

Qualifications 3+ years of full‑cycle field sales experience. Track record of exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals. Ability to drive independent deals in a fast‑paced environment. Business development experience (hunting, cold calling). Reliable transportation and residence in the market you serve. Collaboration mindset and strong teamwork skills. Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent. 2+ years in payment processing or related technology (payroll, loyalty, time management). 1+ year of experience selling to restaurants, retailers, or services‑based businesses.

Compensation Block uses a market‑based pay model. Starting pay is based on skills, experience, location, and market conditions. Pay ranges: Zone A ($148,700–$223,100), Zone B ($138,300–$207,500), Zone C ($130,900–$196,300), Zone D ($123,400–$185,200). Amounts include target variable compensation.
