Summary Vector Security is expanding our sales team and looking for motivated professionals who enjoy building relationships, managing their own territory, and helping customers protect what matters most.
As a
Hybrid Sales Representative , you’ll work with both residential and commercial customers to assess security needs, recommend customized solutions, and guide customers through the installation process from consultation to completion. Successful representatives consistently build their pipeline through outreach, networking, and referrals. Individuals who are highly motivated and comfortable engaging decision-makers and managing their own territory tend to perform best in this role.
What You’ll Do
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas across both residential and commercial security solutions
Prospect for new business through networking, referrals, community engagement, and local market outreach
Conduct on‑site consultations with homeowners and business owners to assess security needs and recommend customized system solutions
Walk customer properties to inspect and evaluate physical layouts, designing security system recommendations based on each location’s needs
Build trust with clients and guide them through the entire sales process, from initial consultation through installation and follow‑up
Partner closely with installation teams to ensure successful project completion and positive customer experience
Attend installations to introduce customers to technicians and provide a seamless “white glove” handoff from sales to installation
Maintain accurate documentation and follow established company processes throughout the sales cycle
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record
Experience in consultative, relationship‑driven, or solution‑based sales
Strong prospecting, networking, and relationship‑building skills
Ability to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products or service solutions
Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing abilities
Comfort working independently in a field‑based sales role and managing a large territory
Basic technical comfort using tablets, smartphones, and computers
Candidates from a variety of outside sales environments often excel in this role, including security systems, alarm or access control sales, HVAC or building systems sales, telecom or cable sales, solar, pest control, or furniture sales, and other territory‑based consultative sales roles.

Compensation & Earnings Potential We offer base salary + uncapped commission along with guaranteed commission for first six pay periods. This role offers a competitive commission structure with uncapped earning potential. High‑performing representatives often earn up to $80,000 in their first year, with experienced top performers exceeding six figures. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. Additional benefits are outlined in the Total Rewards section below.
