
Sales & Account Executive - Trade Shows & Conventions

CARDINAL EXPO, one of the nation's top trade show exhibit companies, provides custom designs, builds, and services for trade show exhibits throughout North America. If you have a background in EVENT SALES or DESIGN SALES, then this is for you. This is not a cold-calling position.
This is an in-office role and we are only considering candidates who are local to New Orleans or those who are willing to relocate to the area.
Maintain a database of current and prospective customers
Respond to sales lead opportunities and potential opportunities
Create estimates, purchase orders, and invoices
Develop exhibit concepts and designs to sell to clients
Oversee the design, coordination, and production of all exhibits
Manage cost to revenue ratios to achieve financial goals
Maintain knowledge of current architectural and interior design trends, as well as new industry-related techniques, materials, and suppliers
Required Skills
Work as a self-starter in a team environment
Possess self-confidence to earn client’s trust in our work and recommendations
Ability to work under pressure regardless of workload
Critical thinking and ability to identify daily priorities and communicate this to the team
Detail-oriented and impeccable organization skills
Comprehensive knowledge of planning systems, scheduling techniques, process management workflow
Proficiency in Quickbooks
Proven ability to build and nurture client relationships and vendor relationships
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
Four-year degree or equivalent sales experience
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurability
Working knowledge in any of the following software programs is a PLUS: Sketchup or other 3D programs, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and/or any project management software
Previous Trade Show, Hotel, F&B, Exhibit Industry, or Event Industry is preferred
Travel to local and national trade shows when necessary
Full-time position, compensation commensurate with experience.
