
Regional Sales Manager – CNC & Industrial Automation

GATES is looking for a high-performance Regional Sales Manager to drive growth across Texas in CNC controls, optical encoders, and digital industrial solutions!
What You'll Do:
Grow market share in CNC systems, feedback systems (encoders), servo solutions, and digital monitoring platforms.
Identify and develop new OEM, integrator, distributor, and end-user accounts.
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, technical consultation, quotation, negotiation, and closing.
Conduct on-site customer visits, machine evaluations, and technical-commercial presentations.
Promote Industry 4.0 and digitalization solutions (connectivity, monitoring, predictive maintenance).
Collaborate with Applications, Service, Marketing, and HQ (Spain) to support technical alignment and project execution.
Represent the company at trade shows and industry events across the territory.
Maintain structured pipeline management and accurate CRM reporting.
Act autonomously to drive territory growth and meet or exceed sales targets.
3+ years of experience in CNC systems, industrial automation, motion control, feedback systems (encoders), or capital equipment sales.
Proven track record selling technical solutions to OEMs, machine tool builders, retrofitters, integrators, or industrial end users.
Experience managing complex sales cycles involving engineering, purchasing, and plant management stakeholders.
Strong understanding of CNC controls, multi-axis applications, servo drives, or retrofit environments.
Demonstrated ability to generate new business (hunter mindset), not only manage existing accounts.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
Willingness to travel approximately 30–40% within Texas.
Experience working through distributors or technical sales channels is a plus.
Proficiency in CRM tools and structured sales reporting.
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
