Are you a compassionate leader ready to make a difference in community mental health? Join PTWMSI as a Program Director, where you’ll oversee the operational management, grant compliance, data performance, and stakeholder relationships for all assigned PTWMSI programs (FFS, SBE, VOC, MAP, etc.). This role ensures that program operations run smoothly, deliverables are met, partner expectations are fulfilled, and funding requirements are satisfied.

The Program Director is the owner of program operations, while collaborating closely with the Clinical Director, who owns clinical quality and practice standards.

Core Responsibilities

1. Program Operations Leadership

Direct all operational components of assigned programs. Manage daily workflows, service schedules, caseload distribution, and site coverage. Ensure operational processes support timely service delivery and compliance with grant requirements. Resolve operational barriers impacting productivity or deliverables. Maintain program calendars, school schedules, and site assignments.

2. Staff Supervision & Performance

Supervise non-clinical program staff and supervisors (program coordinators, administrative staff, support roles). Provide workflow guidance, schedule management, and operational coaching. Conduct operational performance evaluations. Partner with the Clinical Director when staff performance includes both clinical and operational factors.

3. Grant Compliance & Data Performance

Oversee all grant deliverables (DBH, OSSE, OVSJG, DC MAP, etc.). Ensure reporting accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with funder expectations. Partner with Finance to manage program budgets and spending these grants. Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to funders. Track and interpret operational metrics (service logs, site attendance, outputs, grant deliverables).

4. Stakeholder & Community Partner Management

Act as primary operational point of contact for schools, community partners, and program funders. Represent PTWMSI at school meetings, site meetings, and grant-related partner events. Communicate operational changes, expectations, and needs clearly and proactively.

5. Strategic Planning & Program Development

Identify and propose improvements to operational systems, workflows, and reporting structures. Support leadership with operational components of new initiatives, expansions, and grant opportunities. Collaborate with Clinical Director to ensure program structure supports clinical best practices.

6. Clinical Caseload & Direct Service

Maintain a limited clinical caseload of approximately 6–8 consumers to remain connected to service delivery and program operations and be able to have scheduled office hours. Provide direct clinical services consistent with licensure and PTWMSI clinical standards. Coordinate with the Clinical Director and or Compliance to ensure clinical documentation, billing compliance, and service quality standards are maintained. Ensure that clinical responsibilities do not interfere with primary leadership duties related to program operations, staff supervision, and grant management.
