
Customs and Trade Compliance Analyst

Position overview
The Customs & Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operations of trade compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures as it relates to the importation of vehicles, automotive parts, and merchandise shipments. Responsible for maintaining constant interface with suppliers, service providers, internal departments and field offices within the US, Canada and overseas regarding import/export activity. Supports management by conducting risk assessment activities with Internal Control Process (ICS) for all Porsche North American entities.
Provides support for the Customs Internal Control Process (ICS) (internal audit review)
Support establishment of IC
S for any new in scope Porsche Companies
Conduct post entry audits (ICS support function), identify and report to PCNA management any potential violations of trade compliance laws and compliance violations and any incidents involving significant weaknesses in processes or procedures.
Performs post audits on entry packets for accuracy and completeness; maintain proper record keeping according to Customs regulations.
Facilitates and track on-going and annual training for internal shared service partners
Reviews weekly trade notices in the USA and Canada in order to monitor regulatory changes
Provide global support for trade compliance matters based on local and international regulations
Stay current on PGA (Partner Government Agencies) requirements (USA & Canada)
Supports the reporting of PGA master data
Supports CTPAT process
Parts, Merchandise and Miscellaneous Goods Imports Act as a subject matter expert and Customs support for Porsche user departments on proper customs procedures for import/export matters; ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations and trade laws
Ensures timely and accurate response to Customs Broker requests for Information and follow-up to ensure resolution.
Reviews GTM daily import action required alerts for errors and/or missing data
Reviews and approve billing invoices for accuracy and payment processing
Design and implement automation solutions to increase efficiency and improve monitoring of compliance
Applies advanced knowledge of import/export regulations and requirements to support business needs. Partner with other departments on strategic planning to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness in areas that involve import and export compliance
Coordinate the import/ export of goods via air/ocean to ensure shipments are handled in accordance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP), Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) and other government agency regulations as well as Porsche policies and procedures.
Completes other duties as assigned
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Logistics or a related field.
Certified Customs Specialist or Customs broker license preferred
Experience
2-5 years of experience in international trade, including strong connections with regulatory authorities.
Experience with CTPAT
Expert knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and classification principals.
In-depth familiarity with Partner Government Agencies (PGA) requirements such as; EPA, DOT, DOC, NHSTA, FDA, CPSC.
Familiar with U.S. Customs Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and Single Window Initiative (SWI in Canada).
Must possess advanced computer skills and a strong understanding of MS Excel and MS Power Point
SAP experience and One Source GTM experience a plus.

Percentage of required travel: Minimal
The salary range for this role is $75,000-$90,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
