Director, Resident Engagement

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually The Director of Resident Engagement builds resident engagement to inspire purpose and satisfaction among Independent Living Residents. The Director oversees and administers the delivery of social services to residents including activities, programs, events, and off campus trips to enhance our Resident’s experience. The Director is also responsible for the operation of Main Reception Desk and Resident transportation. Director serves as liaison to all resident committees and works closely with Resident Council providing and receiving necessary information for the smooth running of Resident life. The Director works with other department leaders to create, plan, and address opportunities for improvement in resident satisfaction, experience, and engagement. Position Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology or related field resulting in preparation for management of delivery systems of social service. Experience:

Three years of progressively more responsible positions in the field of social service management or geriatric services preferably in similar setting. Previous experience managing staff is required. Specific Skills

Ability to communicate well with the senior population and interface with staff, residents, family members and visitors. Proactive in solving resident problems and resolving issues Approachable with the ability to listen, understand points of view, arbitrate conflicts and act as liaison between residents and/or Seabury. Excellent technical skills to manage resident communication, proficient in Microsoft Office Outstanding interpersonal skills to gain trust and facilitate communication. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Responsibilities

Supervises function of program staff, transportation staff and receptionists to ensure smooth, efficient operations. Supervises the preparation of the monthly calendar of upcoming activities and events and prepares monthly management report. Prepares and monitors departmental budget Plans special events, participates in committees, conducts special studies or investigations, etc. Alerts the health care team to significant social and emotional factors that influence resident care and services Counseling with residents and families Coordinates cross departmental activities with Chaplain and Director of Fitness and Wellness Administers resident satisfaction and other surveys Maintain close relations with residents and family during and after entry to SEABURY in order to offer whatever support that maybe necessary Serve as liaison between SEABURY and the resident, family and community Drive non-commercial motor vehicles to off-site appointments, as needed.
