Our client, a
leading Sephora makeup brand , is seeking a
Digital Designer
to join their team in
New York City . This role is currently remote, but candidates must be based in the
NYC
area as the position will transition to a
hybrid
schedule once an office opens in the future.
In this role, you will help shape and evolve the visual expression of the brand across a variety of channels and consumer touchpoints. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to translate brand strategy into compelling creative work that resonates with audiences.
This position is ideal for a designer who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment and can successfully balance creative exploration with clear structure and execution. The right candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and passionate about producing thoughtful, impactful design.
Key Responsibilities
Create visual assets for a wide range of digital and print formats, including paid media, email marketing, social media, PR initiatives, events, packaging, campaigns, and product launches.
Develop consistent and engaging creative that reinforces brand identity across multiple platforms and customer touchpoints.
Partner with cross‑functional teams such as marketing, product development, and communications to support initiatives within a direct‑to‑consumer business model.
Lead design projects from initial concept through final delivery while ensuring brand consistency and strategic alignment.
Contribute to campaign photoshoots from planning through final asset delivery, including supporting shot list development, participating in creative reviews, and assisting with post‑production feedback and asset refinement.
Manage both quick‑turn deliverables and longer‑term projects, prioritizing effectively across multiple timelines.
Stay current on emerging design trends, digital culture, and social media to continuously elevate creative output.
Role Qualifications
6+ years of experience in brand or digital design, ideally within beauty, fashion, or consumer lifestyle brands. Experience in fast‑growing in‑house teams or agencies supporting similar industries is preferred.
Strong portfolio demonstrating brand development and evolution across multiple channels.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. Experience with motion design, photography, or illustration is a strong plus.
Ability to adapt design approaches and tone depending on the platform or audience.
Highly organized with strong project management skills and clear communication practices.
Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and the ability to iterate quickly.
Enthusiasm for pushing creative boundaries, exploring new ideas, and contributing to ongoing brand growth.
