Oroville Position Summary As a Senior Vegetation Management Qualification Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that employees within Vegetation Management possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively. You will administer a variety of assessments to evaluate employee competence in essential tasks related to vegetation management. At PG&E, we are committed to offering competitive compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is as follows: Bay Area Minimum: $102,000 Bay Area Maximum: $152,000 California Minimum: $97,000 California Maximum: $144,000. Please note that actual salaries may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. Job Responsibilities Administer and proctor qualification assessments focusing on essential skills including chainsaw operation, tree felling, climbing techniques, and equipment use. Coach employees throughout the qualification process, preparing them for assessments through effective communication and practical demonstrations. Share findings and trends with management to develop strategies for addressing performance gaps. Ensure compliance with assessment processes and maintain accurate qualification records. Contribute to the enhancement of new assessment tests and collaborate with various stakeholder groups to improve processes. Mentor and support less experienced team members. Qualifications Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Valid Driver's License. CPR / First Aid certification. OSHA 30 certification. Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (CTSP). Electric Hazard Awareness Program (EHAP) certification. Five years of experience in the arboriculture industry. One year of experience in a training or safety role. Five years performing work relevant to assessments. Desired: Technical education in related fields (Forestry, Wildland Fire Fighting, Utility Vegetation Management). International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) credentials. Commercial Driver's License. OSHA 30 with a focus on Electric Power. Utility line clearance experience. Three years of experience operating heavy equipment. Strong knowledge of technical skills for which assessments are being provided. Thorough understanding of safety practices and work methods. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Leadership and collaboration abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP. Knowledge of OSHA Logging Regulations and ANSI Z133 Standards. Ability to perform aerial rescues and competent assessments. Supplemental Minimum: Ability to travel up to 80% of the time, possibly requiring overnight stays. Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
