Job Overview
As a Catastrophe and Exposure Analytics Lead at Argo Group, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and innovation within a dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead catastrophe modeling and exposure management within our Property lines, providing critical analytics that support underwriting, portfolio enhancement, regulatory reporting, and reinsurance strategies.
This vital role will ensure modeling precision, establish data standards, and optimize platform performance while promoting a culture of continuous improvement through automation and efficiency. Collaborating closely with underwriters and senior stakeholders, you will define the organization's CAT modeling strategy, enhance our View of Risk, and implement consistent exposure management practices globally.
Key Responsibilities
Lead
comprehensive catastrophe modeling and exposure management, delivering accurate insights to support underwriting and event response. Enhance
processes and documentation for catastrophe modeling, integrating best practices and solidifying governance across the organization. Drive
automation and technology-enabled efficiencies in portfolio management platforms. Oversee
outsourcing partners, ensuring compliance with internal data quality standards. Deliver
impactful analytics, exposure reports, and portfolio insights for senior leadership, including regulatory submissions and event loss reporting. Provide
expert guidance on exposure management, influencing risk selection and reinsurance strategies, while advancing the organization's View of Risk. Qualifications for Success Extensive experience
in catastrophe modeling, especially within Property, Marine, and Energy lines, typically exceeding 5 years. Proficient
in third-party vendor models, with essential experience using AIR Touchstone. Advanced technical skills
in Excel, along with automation expertise in SQL, VBA, Power BI, R, Python, and similar tools. Solid understanding
of relational databases and exposure data structures. Experience
with technology solutions and process automation in catastrophe modeling or exposure management contexts. Demonstrated ability
to collaborate effectively with underwriters and cross-functional teams, influencing decisions across various levels. Knowledge of
outward reinsurance, portfolio analytics, and commercial risk assessment. Strong leadership , communication, and organizational skills, blending analytical rigor with creativity and results-driven approaches. Ready to take your career to new heights?

Therefore, our team members are expected to work primarily from the office. The base salary range for this position is $111,400 - $144,600, based on experience and location. This role also qualifies for performance-based bonuses as outlined in our incentive plan. We are committed to providing competitive benefits packages.
