
Counterintelligence Analyst Specialist

SMX is on the lookout for a Counterintelligence Analyst Specialist to offer advanced analytical support for special operations missions. We seek candidates with a deep understanding of counterintelligence (CI) principles to evaluate threats, vulnerabilities, and the activities of foreign intelligence entities. This role necessitates collaboration with diverse teams to strengthen national security objectives.
This position requires a DoD TS/SCI security clearance, which mandates US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.

March 30, 2026. Key Duties & Responsibilities Conduct in-depth counterintelligence assessments and develop comprehensive intelligence products, briefings, and reports.
Analyze activities of foreign intelligence entities that target US interests.
Identify and evaluate insider threats, cyber espionage risks, and technological vulnerabilities.
Lead or assist in working groups, planning sessions, and operational briefings.
Prepare threat and vulnerability assessments utilizing classified and open-source information.
Develop collection requirements to address intelligence gaps and coordinate with collection managers.
Advise senior leadership on CI trends, threats, and risk mitigation strategies.
Mentor and guide fellow analysts in their development.
Be ready to deploy as necessary.
Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's or master's degree in Intelligence, Security Studies, International Relations, or a related field.
6+ years of counterintelligence analysis experience within federal, military, or intelligence community settings.
Proven expertise in CI tradecraft, analytic methodologies, and the intelligence cycle.
Extensive experience in generating all-source analytical products for operational applications.
Proficient with intelligence analysis tools and databases (e.g., Palantir, Analyst Notebook).
Valid US Passport.
Exceptional communication skills with experience briefing senior leadership.
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
The salary for this position ranges from $83,000 to $125,000 USD.
