Senior Business Analyst

Overview Highlight is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to serve as a liaison between federal stakeholders and technical development teams supporting a mission critical HHS contract. This role is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting complex business requirements, facilitating cross-functional sessions, and ensuring that technology solutions align with operational objectives.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements sessions with business stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and technical teams to capture clear, complete, and actionable requirements.

Develop comprehensive business cases and perform thorough requirements analysis to support solution design and project prioritization.

Construct use case diagrams and visual process models to communicate complex workflows to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Communicate and define requirements clearly to fellow analysts, development teams, and QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Collaborate within agile frameworks, participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives as a core team member.

Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies in requirements and proactively communicate findings to project leadership.

Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment from business need through implementation and testing.

Qualifications

Ten (10) years Demonstrated experience performing business cases, storyboarding, requirements analysis, including use case diagraming.

Five (5) years of experience in Medicare claims appeals programs

Self-motivated professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with executives, peers, and technical staff alike.

Proven ability to lead requirements sessions and facilitate collaborative workshops with diverse stakeholder groups.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Exceptional communication skills

Proven experience working within agile frameworks
