Peak Credit Union ($4.3B) is seeking a Vice President, Consumer Lending, who sees lending not just as production but as a strategic driver of growth, member value, and balance sheet performance.

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the VP has the opportunity to shape the future of consumer lending at a growing, forward-thinking credit union.

The Opportunity The Vice President, Consumer Lending, is the senior leader responsible for the strategy, growth, and performance of the consumer lending portfolio, ensuring sustainable loan production, strong credit quality, and exceptional member experience across all lending channels.

This role balances growth, yield optimization, and credit discipline while positioning consumer lending as a core driver of enterprise success.

You will lead and evolve a lending organization responsible for:

Direct and indirect auto lending

Credit cards and unsecured lending

Consumer loan underwriting and processing

Product strategy and pricing

Lending technology and digital capabilities

You will also collaborate closely with ALCO, Risk, Finance, Retail, and executive leadership to align lending strategy with the credit union’s balance sheet, capital strategy, and long‑term vision.

Expand direct lending and digital lending capabilities

Strengthen partnerships with dealers, fintech providers, and technology platforms

Develop and inspire high‑performing lending teams

What You Bring

10+ years of progressive consumer lending leadership within a credit union or bank

Experience leading lending strategy at institutions $2B+ in assets

Deep understanding of consumer credit risk, underwriting, pricing, and portfolio analytics

Experience working with ALCO, capital strategy, and executive leadership

Proven success in growing multiple lending channels while maintaining portfolio quality

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

Experience with digital lending platforms, automation, or fintech partnerships is preferred

The target annual pay range for this position is $180,840-$205,500. The full annual pay range is $164,400 - $226,100.
