Kissimmee Fellowship is a two-year old church plant located in Kissimmee, a fast-growing suburb in the Orlando Metro. We are a warm, multi-cultural church looking for a Worship Director who is passionate about serving a growing congregation through the planning and leading of our Sunday services.
POSITION SUMMARY The Worship Director is part-time role of 12 hours per week with the potential to expand given the needs of the church. The role allows for weekday schedule flexibility but requires hours on Sunday. The ideal candidate will be excited about using their gifts and talents to continue building the worship ministry in our church plant.
Our music style is warm and Christ-centered - rooted in the historic Christian faith while reflecting the voices of our community, many from Latin America. We aim for worship that is sincere and participatory, creating environment where the whole church can sing together with joy.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
A love for Jesus, his gospel and his church
Willingness to pursue membership at Kissimmee Fellowship
A team-oriented and humble approach to ministry
Worship leading experience is preferred
Excellent musical and/or vocal ability
Highly responsible, organized and a learner
Openness to diverse, biblical expressions of worship with an willingness to yield personal preferences for the sake of unity and mission
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Sunday morning responsibilities (60%)
Lead the worship team on Sunday mornings, including rehearsal before service.
Oversee the production team (audio/video) in a mobile church plant
Weekday responsibilities (40%)
Select Christ-centered songs and liturgy for each Sunday. Selecting the liturgy will be a gradual transition from collaboration with Pastor Heath to having ownership of this creative process.
Schedule a monthly rehearsal as needed.
Schedule worship team using Planning Center Services.
Build all components of weekly slides in Proclaim.
