We are seeking a suitably qualified

Inside Sales Engineer

for our subsidiary, Thermal Corporation, a manufacturer of Custom Air Handler Units. The successful candidate will interact with the Houston management team and serve as the direct line of communication to our sales representative network, playing a key role in growing the Thermal Corp business and enhancing the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate, prepare, and execute all aspects of the sales cycle from RFQ to delivery, focusing on Custom Air Handler Units.

Act as the intermediary between our sales representatives and internal departments (Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing) to ensure timely, accurate quotations that meet corporate objectives.

Provide immediate first response to all quality‑related inquiries and reports from customers.

Participate in representative and engineering training sessions.

Build rapport with Sales Representatives, develop customer relationships, and serve as a dependable resource.

Understand the functionality of Air Handler Units and their components.

Prepare project quotations in accordance with defined pricing strategies, present them to customers, and deliver required technical submittals upon acceptance.

Promote Thermal Corporation as a partner for new application solutions.

Ensure customer satisfaction by managing the entire sales process and the relationship between Thermal and its partners.

Deliver sales presentations and gather customer information to support marketing plans and sales strategies.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or a related technical field (preferred).

Prior commercial HVAC systems experience preferred, including engineering, installation/start‑up, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, technical sales, or customer service.

Demonstrated knowledge of commercial HVAC control systems.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical plans, schedules, technical drawings, and contract specifications.

Specific Skills Requirements

Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to interact well with customers on the phone and in person.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Proven problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Demonstrated computer‑based skills.

Familiarity with CAD software (a plus).

Physical Demands

Move, transport, and handle equipment as necessary at trade shows, lab testing, or for presentations. Ability to carry luggage for travel.
