Our client, a growing girls apparel company, is seeking an Associate Technical Designer to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
Oversee a range of categories focusing on intimates and swimwear.
Measure samples for fit, pre-production, and top of production stages with precision.
Participate in fit sessions, recording detailed notes to ensure accurate adjustments.
Prepare initial tech packs for pricing and fit sample approval.
Familiar with children's apparel safety standards and regulations.
Skilled in grading and creating graded specifications.
Monitor timelines to ensure all milestones are achieved on schedule.
Manage and monitor sample progress while maintaining an organized sample archive.
Collaborate effectively with teams across design, merchandising, production, and sales.
Qualifications:
4+ years working in technical design.
In-depth knowledge of garment construction, pattern drafting, manufacturing methods, and textiles.
Proficient in using PLM software and advanced Excel skills.
Detail-oriented, quick to adapt, and eager to learn.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively with teams.
Experienced in managing tasks within a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Bachelor's degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design.
