Senior Database Architect

who will play a crucial role in supporting classified programs and innovative technologies in

Richardson, TX . In this role, you will manage and optimize databases and the associated code, directly impacting our mission. Your Responsibilities: Understand customer needs and utilize strong knowledge of database principles and software engineering to design effective solutions. Exhibit critical thinking skills and convey complex ideas clearly. Integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products to develop solutions tailored to customer requirements. Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to overcome challenges. Secure and maintain SCI program access and successfully complete required polygraphs. Achieve Security+ certification within 60 days of starting the position. Requirements: A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Database Engineering. Experience as both a Database Administrator (DBA) and Database Engineer (DBE). Proficiency with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle or Postgres. Collaboration experience with Systems and Software Engineers to implement and update backend databases for applications in a development environment. Experience in virtualizing or containerizing databases. Familiarity with Linux command line for database administration tasks. Possession of an active Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI prior to starting the role. Preferred Qualifications: Current Security+ certification. Experience with AWS cloud services. Knowledge of NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and DynamoDB. Ability to troubleshoot database-related issues such as DR, replication, and backups. Experience resolving performance issues within databases. Understanding of database security controls, audits, and compliance. Experience with automating routine tasks. Familiarity with Spatial databases. Proficient in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Java. The salary range for this role is $86,800 - $165,200, based on experience.
