Hybrid Department Overview The Electric Asset & Regulatory department is dedicated to ensuring the effective management of electric system engineering, planning, asset strategy, and risk management. Our goal is to manage electric risks by implementing consistent standards and lessons learned from inspections and asset data, thereby informing asset management decisions effectively. The Electric Compliance Assurance department plays a vital role in identifying compliance challenges and areas of risk, aiming to mitigate these risks systematically. Key functions include incident reporting, investigations, and addressing critical compliance issues. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled business professional to join our Electric Incident Investigations (EII) Team as a Senior Incident Investigation Specialist. This key role involves reporting Electric Incidents to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and investigating incidents to uncover root causes and recommend corrective actions. You will play an integral role that has significant visibility with senior leadership. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, motivation, curiosity, and the ability to build consensus. This position offers flexibility within PG&E's service territory and requires occasional travel. It is a hybrid role, allowing for both remote and in-office work based on business requirements. Salary Information PG&E is committed to providing competitive compensation based on multiple factors, including skills, education, experience, and market value. The estimated salary range for this position is: Bay Area: Minimum: $105,000 Mid: $137,000 Maximum: $169,000 California: Minimum: $100,000 Mid: $130,000 Maximum: $161,000 Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Supervisor, Electric Incident Investigations. Job Responsibilities and Expectations Identify and mitigate areas of risk through effective risk controls. Manage investigations, ensuring timely updates and consensus among senior leaders. Analyze data to extract insights and prepare comprehensive reports. Investigate medium-risk Electric Incidents and prepare corresponding reports and evaluations. Communicate findings and risk assessments clearly to stakeholders. Forecast compliance risk and prepare responses to potential Notices of Violation from the CPUC. Work closely with PG&E's Legal team on fire investigations. Background Qualifications Minimum Requirements: BA/BS Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. 4 years of relevant work experience. Desired Qualifications: Willingness to travel for site visits and meetings. Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related areas. Experience with electric operation systems. Strong project management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines. Effectively navigate complex organizational dynamics.
