Insurance Sales Specialist - Hybrid Akron or Columbus, OH

Summary:

The Insurance Sales Specialist position requires basic technical and personal insurance product knowledge. Daily responsibilities include performing inbound and outbound phone sales using multiple insurance carriers, working with internal segment partners, and educating customers about insurance opportunities.

Description As a member of the sales team, you will engage with potential and existing clients to secure personal insurance products, meet business goals, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, technology, and regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sell personal insurance products to individuals.

Conduct inbound and outbound calls to prospective clients.

Develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external referral sources.

Meet goals for volume of quality new business quoted and written within company guidelines.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, technology, and regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

One year of work experience focused on sales and/or customer service.

Valid Property and Casualty Insurance license, or will obtain the license within 45 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Sales experience with proven ability to achieve sales expectations and meet high volume deadlines in a call center environment.

High energy and personable “over the phone” communication style.

Ability to manage a high volume of customers in various sales and service stages.

Experience working with complex products/processes.

Computer experience and proficiency with Microsoft Suite, comparative rater, and carrier sites.

Exempt Status:

No (eligible for overtime pay)
